Water Homes on stilts, submarine buildings, a central village containing top notch boutiques, restaurants and berths for several hundred yachts.
Sounds like something out of fantasy. But no. These are just some of the innovations currently being created on Palm Jebel Ali – sister island to The Palm Jumeirah.
Like The Palm Jumeirah, The Palm Jebel Ali is based on the shape of a palm tree, with a ‘trunk’, 17 ‘fronds’ and a ‘crescent’ forming the breakwater. Such has been the demand for the limited property on the first Palm, developers Nakheel have decided to keep the same specifications for Signature Villas, Garden Villas and Town Homes on The Palm Jebel Ali as exist on The Palm Jumeirah. These are now available – at even better prices.
But fundamental changes have been made to the design concept of the Jebel Ali Palm. Water Homes – 1,060 of them on a 12 kilometre chain between the fronds and the crescent – are being positioned 10 metres above the lapping sea. Each of these stunning, 3,875 square feet, four-bedroom palaces has private moorings for personal boats. Water Homes are available through Landvest Dubai today.
Change has not just come in the shape of Water Homes. The Palm Jebel Ali’s crescent is 15.5 kilometres long, providing even more space for five star luxury services than its sister project – and even has a break at the top for boats to enter. The marine theme is extended further, with no less than six marinas, a ‘Sea Village’ on the trunk (including the region’s only sea aquarium), and an underwater hotel from which you can view marine wildlife and dive.
Fifty percent larger than Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali will be a dynamic destination for those looking for the exclusivity of Palm Island, but with even more access to the marine environment.
